Have the idea, have done the research, have designed the site, have the product, had the partner, have to start over and realized EEK! I need a new partner to help make my ideas into the successful reality I have envisioned. I've heard the first step is the hardest but once you acknowledge that you need help, you're on your way. But then I've also heard "watch the next step, it's a real doozy.
That's the short story. But the long story is just really long and I don't have the strength to start at the beginning, so I'll sum up by saying, Hello, and maybe taking that first step I will find someone who is like minded and wants to make a dream come true.
So here's the poop. I have a collection of over 4,000 vintage magazines, books, record albums, and comic books that have been cataloged and priced. They range from the 1940s through the 80s and cover sports, jazz, as well as current event puplications life Life, Look, the Post, Time, and more. A database was started, written in asp.net, but as I mentioned, my partner is gone and I need help getting this large collection into a site with a really good search function and shopping cart. The site will be called Paulie's Paper Memories.
But that's not all folks. In order to leverage these assets, I have also designed a line of greeting cards, stationery and other items like clocks and misc trinkets that I'd like to bring into the fold. And that, of course, brings another element that could add real overall value -- affiliates.
But, hey! Why stop there. The final piece to this seven layer cake would be a freelance graphic design and development element. There's just so many ideas running around this noggin of mine, I really need the help of a level headed programmer type to either reel me in or to just take the leap with me and say Hell Yeah! That's sounds like fun. Sign me up.
So, if you've read this far and you're still intrigued, let me know. Thanks for listening.
